Qualification Validation Scheme - Hong Kong Coaching Committee

Overview

Introduction

The Qualification Validation Scheme enables coaches with relevant professional qualifications to be exempted from taking certain courses under the Hong Kong Coaching Committee, while being able to obtain an accredited coach qualification issued by it.

Objectives

To provide another path for coaches to acquire accredited qualifications.
To ensure the quality of accredited coaches.
To facilitate coaches’ development and progression in learning and careers.

Requirement

Applicants should have successfully obtained qualifications from the relevant courses in the list within the last five years to be eligible for obtaining a qualification equivalent to the Coach Accreditation Programme Level 3 Sports-General Theory Coach.

For courses outside the recognised list: HKD 500

A Completed application form (Click here) ;
Copies of certificates of relevant qualifications and/or official transcripts ;
A recent colour photo taken within three months, Size: 1.5 inch x 2 inches (H) ; and
Application fee of HKD200/500 (crossed cheque payable to "Hong Kong Sports Institute Ltd").

After all information collected is verified, the Hong Kong Coaching Committee will send the Qualification Validation Confirmation Letter, Coach Accreditation Card and Coach Logbook by registered mail to successful applicants within eight weeks.
