- To formulate short and long-term strategies for the development of coach education and accreditation programmes, with input from the national sports associations, and to monitor and evaluate implementation.
- To liaise with national sports governing bodies, institutes of higher education within Hong Kong and overseas and any national coaching organisations concerning matters relating to coach education.
- To raise coach recognition and status in the community.
- To support national sports associations to develop and to implement their coaching programmes from Grass root to Elite levels.
- To promote highest Ethical and Integrity standards to coaches of all levels.
